Export or delete your data

Workspace admins export and delete workspaces in Settings → Workspace data, on the web. Anyone can delete their own account.

Export all data

Choose Export all data. Mittral prepares the export in the background and emails you when it’s ready. It contains everything in the workspace:

  • every record (purchase requests and their lines, approvals, purchase orders (POs), suppliers and other lists, members, settings and the activity log) as JSON files, one per kind of record;
  • purchase requests, issued POs, members and your lists as CSV files for spreadsheets. Suppliers, items, GL accounts, projects and branches use the same columns as the import templates, so they can be imported again;
  • every file: attachments and their previews, every PO PDF as issued, and PO logos.

A big workspace comes as several zip files; download them all. Only workspace admins can download an export, while signed in, and each is kept for 7 days, then deleted. Exports don’t count toward your storage. One export is prepared at a time, and a workspace can start 3 a day.

Not included: sign-in details (passwords and sessions are with our sign-in provider), integration secrets such as webhook signing keys, and mobile device details.

Delete a workspace

At the bottom of Settings → Workspace data, type the workspace’s name and choose Delete workspace. Then:

  • Nobody can use the workspace from that moment, and no purchase orders are issued or sent.
  • For 30 days, any of its admins can sign in, cancel the deletion and carry on as before, or download an export. Admins are emailed when it’s scheduled, 7 days before and 1 day before.
  • A paid plan stops renewing: the subscription ends at the end of the period already paid, with no refund for that period. Invoices and payment records are kept, as the law requires.
  • After 30 days, the workspace is deleted for good: requests, POs, files, settings and members. It can’t be recovered. Its admins are emailed when it’s done.

Deleting a workspace doesn’t delete anyone’s Mittral sign-in: people can still use other workspaces they belong to, and your company can create a new workspace later.

Delete your account

Anyone can delete their own Mittral account. Choose your initials at the top of any page (or Your account if you don’t belong to a workspace), then Delete my account. For your security you’ll be asked to sign in again unless you signed in within the last few minutes, and to type your email address. Then:

  • You’re signed out everywhere and can’t sign in with that account again.
  • You leave every workspace you belong to, which frees your seat. Requests waiting for your approval go to the next approver.
  • Your drafts and their files are deleted, and your name and email address are removed from your account.
  • Requests you submitted, approvals you gave, purchase orders and the activity log stay with each workspace, because they’re its business records. They still show the name they were made under.

It can’t be undone. If you’re the only admin of a workspace that has other members, give someone else the admin role first. If you’re a workspace’s only member, delete the workspace first. To use Mittral again later, sign up and ask to be invited.
